Our Story

In 1850, the first Bell County commissioner election was held under the historic Bell County Charter oak tree.  Charter Oak Elementary is named after this spectacular tree that stands tall and serves as the root of lessons that grow in the minds of students as we learn about the importance of citizenship and leadership through service and academic excellence. We are a dual language campus that serves 620 students of various cultures and backgrounds. At Charter Oak Elementary, we know that from little seeds grow mighty trees, and we are committed to pursuing excellence through connections, communication, and critical thinking!
